Olympics 2012 - gold rain?

The olympics 2012 are a bit of a dissapointment for the Dutch. So far it has not been raining gold medals, or even medals.. We have some but not as hoped for. Certainly it is not over yet and we still hope for some gold, maybe miss Ranomi Kromowidjojo will have a great swim, she is in topcondition and showed us she is very good. Hope she will make it count and add another medal, hopefully GOLD!!

Olympics 2012, Recession?

So, just watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic games and well it was amazing..It just made me think about it. All of europe seems to be struggling economy/money wise and there in the UK were millions spend on an opening ceremony that took a few hours. Really, was that wise? Is it not better to be a bit more sober in these times?

I must admit it was a great opening but considering the current economic crisis we are in, was it all necessary?

Just had to share this. Admitting I will be watching the games, just something to think about..

Madeleine McCann alive?

The 5 year old girl from the UK Madeleine McCann could possibly be still alive. This was confirmed by the police in London.

The police took another look at the evidence and found out that she might as well be still alive. The british police informed Portugal, where she vanished in may 2007, and asked them to reopen the case.

Prince Friso seems to be transferred to London

News got out that prince Friso was transferred today. This was confirmed by the airport. He was in a plane leaving for London at 14.00. It is best for coma patients to be in a familiar environment. Since the prince lived in London with his kids for the last years, he is said to be on his way to a specialized clinic in London.
