Aquarium Genova(Genoa), Italy

We went to the aquarium in Genova. The weather predicted for our vacationadres was bad so we decided to visit the aquarium. The aquarium was said to be the biggest in Europe so it was very interesting to take a look.

Genova is rather a big city compared to our vacationvillage which has one supermarket. Genova is a big town. Which shows on this picture.

The aquarium is situated in a harbour area. The harbour is a site itself. Many beautiful ships are to be looked at. It is not easy to find however just follow the signs for centre/port antico and the signs for the aquarium will show up eventually.

The aquarium costs 19 euro and for kids to 3 years it is free. Let's put it this way it is well worth it!
Once in the aquarium, it really was a sight! There are beautiful big tanks for the creatures to live in. There are dolphins, different kind of sharks, all kinds of fish, from piranha to clownfish and there is a tank to pet fish. The route is well put together and there is staff everywhere to help you when you have questions. A big plus is that they all speak english very well, which is rare.

When you are finished in the aquarium, take a look around. Genoa is a beautiful old city. The harbour alone can keep you occupied for hours!
