Project X Facebook party Arnhem

Again a Project X party was organised today. Today it was in Arnhem. Police was prepared and have totally blocked off Arnhem. There is no way you are getting in or out. The precautions will be untill 8 am tomorrow.

Weekend has begun and people are happy. My search for a job has begun, while so many are looking.. Hope it will turn out okay! So if anyone has an offer, just send me a message!

Are you a good neigbour?

My neighbours are having a party. I hear them talking and I hear the music. Do I complain? No!

In my opinion it is okay to have a party every once and a while. They are good people and I like them to have fun! Too many people these days complain about everything. When the neighbour walks too loud, talks too loud or just sneezes..

Would you like to party every now and then? Then let them and enjoy a year full off hello's and goodbye's instead off angry faces and grunts.

Beer and whiskey...don't..

So the title explains the party... lets go on.... ;)

Day-to day life has taken over, kids go to school, people go to work. And voila here comes the sun. Next week it will be about 30 degrees celcius while the kids got a rainy summer in their holiday!

It is almost time for the next party "We love the 90's!" With a lot of idols from the '90's! When the beer just tastes too good..

Well yesterday we had the surpriseparty. It was so much fun! The guy just did not expect it and was totally surprised. He came up blindfolded and was just stunned when he was surprised. As mentioned it was an American party, which means as much as bring your own drinks... And boy.. did they... Some even brought over a deepfryer to fry snacks.

The hostess just was so tense the last couple of weeks, she had to keep things quiet for her boyfriend, so when finally it was time to party, she really let herself go. At about 11 she was as much as hammered and was really losing herself.. At about midnight she was posting all kinds of crazy stuff on Facebook and at 1 in the morning she was knock out. All this tension just got to her.

All and all it was a great party. Just a reminder to myself, be carefull with alcohol it just might catch up with you in the end...

Welcome home party

tomorrow we arranged a welcome home party for a friend. He was away for a long time and tomorrow he will be surprised. It is an American party, Americans might call it a Dutch party, since everyone is bringing their own drinks.

He is going out to eat and when he comes back his house will be filled with his friends. Wonder how he reacts!! You too? Well might tell you tomorrow!

Carnaval 2012 Eindhoven - Lampegat

It has been 17.00 and officially carnaval has started. Today thousand of people leave their regular clothes at home and go on having a party in the strangest outfits. The next xouple of days I will try to give some updates and share some pictures.

We all go out tomorrow and I cannot wait!

I forgot to mention all villages in the south now have cool carnaval names (nicknames). Eindhoven (hometown of Philips) is called Lampegat (lampvillage). This just shows how many people love this party and are also anxious to get the party started!

Saturday the parade will take place in Eindhoven/Lampegat a real cool parade you should not miss (if you are around that is!)
Sunday in the centre youth carnaval will take place and there is a band contest.

These are just two activities but all over Brabant and limburg will be lots of stuff to do!

Vacation, whaaa

I am really longing for a vacation and I actually cannot wait. Still I have not found anything that really got me excited, which means look further for me! Tomorrow Carnaval begins in the south of Holland and everybody is excited. However we are all excited tomorrow, by monday the friendly, festive atmosphere usually turns into drunk, agressive behaviour. So I will definately go out but not after sunday.

Sunday there is a parade and the youth will get on carts and drive through town. The parade starts at 13.11 and that is the time they will start drinking too, you can imagine, sunday is usually not the busiest of days in the pubs since most are hammered at 16.00.

A few years back an accident occured and a young boy fell of the cart and died. Since then it is forbidden to use any alcohol during the parade. However forbidden the participants are very clever and have several ways to still use alcohol. It is said some of them even got a producer of lemonade to put beer in lemonade cans....

Please people, carnaval is sucha great party, keep it a party and behave!
