Project X Facebook party Arnhem

Again a Project X party was organised today. Today it was in Arnhem. Police was prepared and have totally blocked off Arnhem. There is no way you are getting in or out. The precautions will be untill 8 am tomorrow.

Just wanted to let people know..

There actually is nothing wrong with organising a party through something like Facebook. There is nothing wrong with people gathering with the intention to have a party.
It is wrong however for people to gather and have the intention to make a fuss, destroy things or treaten people.

Why is it so that this small group of people manage to destroy such parties? Because of these group there will be a ban on these party's, taking it from good intentioned party people.

Is there anything we could do about it?

There are signs the X-party trend is catching on and there are several party's organised throughout europe. Hope they will leave the trouble makers home and have a great party!

Project X Facebook party's all over The Netherlands

After the incident in Haren, today there were several virals to come to other project X party's. Since Haren did not really end like a party, police were already on the several sites to stop people trying to get to the mentioned locations.

Schiedam, Alkmaar en several other cities and towns were mentioned but the police had taken action and was present. Several people got arrested for some minor things but most important there were no incidents.

This birthday party is one Haren wil never forget! About 30 people got wounded and the whole village got shook up. Villagers have started cleaning up the mess and try to understand what happened.

Police asks people to send in their material, photo's, video's to try to catch the people that misbehaved!

Facebook party Project X in Haren, Netherlands smashed village

A girl from the lovely village Haren in the Netherlands wanted to organise a nice birthday party. She posted an invitation on her Facebook page, not realising she made it a public invitation. Thursday evening on radioshows they were promoting her party. Stating it was a guiness book of records attempt of being the biggest party organised through facebook.

Result: Today there were thousands of people in Haren to witness and be part of this party. Later in the evening things were getting hostile and police came. Charges were made by the police. Houses and garages of the village are looted and damaged.

Wonder how this will end, as I write police is still in Haren sorting things out!

search in facebook error!

Lately when I am trying to find people and typ in the name (and get suggestions while typing) and press search nothing will appear. No results at all, while I saw suggestions when I was typing.

Hope I or facebook will fix it soon. Anyone else have this problem?

youtube artist commits suicide

yesterday a famous you tube artist (at least in the Netherlands) commited suicide. He posted his farewell letter on Facebook and caught a train. The fans he has here in Holland are shocked. There really was no sign for them that he has been playing eith this thought. Although now they are critically reviewing his last uploads and see signs. It is a loss for the youtube channel and I hope he has found peace!

This however makes me think about his family. Posting your farewell letter on Facebook? Humanity is changing. We were brought up in another way, not that I am old but people 5 years younger just seem to have had another life. We had computerclass once a week 15 minutes and now there are digital blackboards. We only had overhead projectors! I guess I am just afraid of what the future will bring with all these digi kids that grow up.

Hopefully Jermaine's family will find peace with the desicion he made.

Facebook reactions difficulties

Currently reactions are not showing on facebook. While you receive a mail that there is a reaction, they are not shown on the website. This has been so for an hour. Hope this will be fixed soon. There are also several people experiencing this on their app.

Facebook - Timeline acting weird..

Maybe more people have noticed? Just now I found out that the timeline on Facebook is all scr*** up. There are numbers and everything is placed under one and another. Not two columns just one page. Photo's are too big... Hmmm, looks really weird, hoping they will fix this issue soon!

Bada, is it really going anywhere?

Two years ago I got a new phone, a Samsung Wave. It was state of the art at the time. It came with this new software "Bada". Now two years later, I cannot connect with friends on whats app, my facebook app does not work properly and so on. In the two years there were numerous of apps designed and brought onto the market. Free and paid. Still there is no "Whatsapp" for Bada. Is this a way to force users to change to android phones? In my opinion it might be. Still, considering this Bada was a great risk at the time and well I really regret taking it. In two years android phones developed with the market, while my bada just stayed there, it developed but slowly.

I think there might be a future but it will be a great war to compete with Android.

Today I got my android and a world opened up. I finally came out of my cave and saw what this "Whatsapp"was all about, QR codes?!

I was pleased with Bada but all things considered, I would never ever get a phone with a new kind of software, it is just a large risk! I do think it is brave of the developers to keep fighting and try to make it work, I wish they will succeed!

When I was called they told me a photographer for a newspaper will be present, how exciting! I will get this voucher to go shopping for 500 euro and I must admit, I looked! I already got a wishlist.. Also I was especially full attention when kharkov was mentioned on the news, this is the place where the soccermatch will be where I have won tickets for..

Wonder if there are many common people who would spend this much money to go to a match of their national soccer team?

I am so curious to see.... Go Dutch Lions!

Wow, I won a trip to the Ukraine, to the european championship soccer all inclusive!! Makes me wonder what more I could win? Although I must admit this is more than I had hoped for! Not to mention the certificate to go on a shopping spree!!

Big win on facebook competition!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, there are lots of ways to win free stuff. When you keep an eye out onto the sidebar in your facebook page there are usually lots of competitions mentioned. I usually enter these competitions since they are free and usually they require almost no effort.

Well guys.... I hit it big! I had entered a competion for Hyundai. As you might now Hyundai is a big sponsor of the European soccer championship that will begin June. To promote this they had start up a competition. They were asking for a slogan to put on the Dutch players'bus. I had entered and well, thursday I received an email. I was one of the ten winners!!!

What did I win? A trip to the European Soccer championship by airplane to the Ukraine, to attent the match Holland-Germany, complete with meals, transfers and planeticket. AND a voucher to shop in an online clothing store for 500 Euro's!!!!!

So guys, you might consider entering these competions on facebook. This year alone I have won every month, off course not all big prices but still.... Winning is FUN!

My first question to you , my readers is; Do you have facebook? I think for most the answer would be yes.

Here is my advise, join some competitions. There are numerous of competitions on facebook with a chance to win fabulous prizes. I do have entered some. Some would require you to come up with a slogan or just to do a game. There is a chance you win.

How I know? I just won two prizes by entering a facebook based competition. One involved clicking on a link at a certain time and I won glasses. The other one just was a lucky shot and I won:

It is chocolate milk some cups and whipped cream and I can tell you it tasted that much better, knowing it was free!

This was just a freindly advise, in the right menu you will see lots of ads on facebook and there are usually some competitions mentioned, I would say; Give it a try! And you also have the chance to be a winner every day!

Facebook gets 8 Billion loan

5 american banks have signed up to give the social network site Facebook a 8 billion dollar loan. This money has several purposes amongst these purposes is the entry to the stockmarket. Facebook is trying to get at least 5 billion from stocksales but insiders and investors are thinking more in the lines of 10 billion dollar in sales.

The total worth of the site is estimated to be 100 billion dollar!

Just making me wonder, should I start a website? The idea of this website surely brought Mark Zuckerberg more than he probably ever dreamt of!

Facebook has been down for over an hour now. Wonder if it is a local problem or worldwide? How about all those daily users? cold turkey...hmmm...

Social networking

Lately I find myself on Facebook during several hours a day. Playing games, posting pictures and keeping updated on my friends. I am wondering, are our lives changing? I guess they are, but isn't it a normal thing?

When I was a kid we all made playing dates on school face-to-face. My mother never had play dates since she was the oldest she had to help out at home. My younger sister started using messenger to do make play dates.

Times are changing. While we met our significant others in school, clubs, on the street, todays youth meet them online, on facebook or on a datingsite.

yes it is true we are changing, our lives are changing but it is a natural thing which is called evoluation.

No sense fighting it, just choose the way you want to go and go with it!
